Paperwork for Admitted Students

  • At least one month before your arrival on campus you should email your Faculty Sponsor and the Program Director.  Let them both know you are coming.
  • If you will be on an assistantship then you must complete the onboarding process in WorkDay. Onboarding Instructions for WorkDay. Onboarding involves six tasks once you are set up in WorkDay by the University. Your contact person should be in the office of your home department,  Your faculty sponsor should provide you the name and contact information. This is also the person you will see for key assignments.
  • If you are on a fellowship or scholarship you will still need to go to your home department office with your passport and photo ID to be registered in the system, get keys assigned, and introduce yourself.
  • Along with your major professor complete the Major Professor Graduate Student agreement. That signed agreement should be sent to your home department office and emailed to the CEMB program director
  • Ask your home department office about taking the GHS Hazard Safety Quiz.
  • You should  be in contact with your major professor about when and what classes to enroll in for the first semester.
  • There are new student orientations every August the week before the semester starts.  All new graduate students are encouraged to attend when the announcement comes out.  Very good information and you get free food.
